Background
Biography | Da Analyst is a Producer, MC, Graffiti Artist, DJ and Sound Engineer from Amsterdam, Europe.

Started DJ-ing at the age of 12. He got addicted to vinyl’s! He fell directly in love with the touch, the smell and the sound of it! With all his money, he bought turntables, and began spinning and mixing records!
'Hanging Around'
The next chapter was at the age of 14, hanging around on the streets and smoking weed. He was seduced by the fast money and started doing criminal activities to buy records and equipment for his music career. One year later the first DJ mixtape was a fact and people were interested in his performances. He started to do weekly’s show at a youth base in the neighborhood, Hip-Hop Bars and later on at bigger clubs. In the timeframe of 3 years he created 5 mixtape and promote the hardcopie cd’s on the streets.
Turned 18, since he no longer needed the money to furter expand his musical career, he wanted to get out of the criminal scene. But he had one problem… The pressure of the adrenaline what he had in crime was still pushing him. The art of graffiti got his interest and he started bombing as an outlet for his adrenaline. This was the solution, to get back in balance!
Spending hours and hours at night on grimey places like train yards, with one goal: hit the trains and put his name upon there. During the time he spend to watch / observe the security, he started to write rap lyrics. Because of the respect to the craft he didn’t record any songs, he understood that you have to learn the art of rap before you ‘step in the ring’.
'Studing'
2003 he made the decision to stop DJ-ing for the public and to start making beats instead. He locked himself up for about two years to study producing. In 2005 he joined an organization to grow and balance his inner side and talent. During this period, Da Analyst learned a lot and started to guide other people (youth) like the philosophy of ‘each one teach one’. From 2013 till 2019 he managed a Record label together with the organization.
'Burn Out'
2019 Da Analyst got ‘Burned out’ and he started to think about some changes in his life. What did he want for his future in the music industry? Da Analyst needed a year to recover his health and he made the choice to perform/ present himself as an ‘Independent artist’ from now on. The Summer of 2020 he started working on his first independent EP as a MC / Producer called ‘Resurrection’. He produced all the songs on the EP, does his own recordings, mixing, and did collaboration with people from his crow up time and international established names like Fredro Starr (Onyx).
Da Analyst – Resurrection (EP) is here!
'Record Label'
December 2020, he decided to set up a record label (called Osu Recordz) together with one of his closest friends Tegan, a professional Hip-Hop dancer for decades. The label would function as distribution and management for Da Analyst, but also to sign new talents. November 2021 ‘Osu Recordz’ was official Released as a Record Label.
Da Analyst provided songs for Osu Recordz. In addition to songs, he provided beats, mixing and mastering for Osu Recordz artists.
'Etmaal' - EP
After the release of Resurrection and Dutch songs from artists of OSu Recordz, people are asking for Dutch Analyst songs. In 2023 the ‘Etmaal EP’ was a fact.
Da Analyst | Etmaal EP has been released on August 11th 2023. The EP contains 6 songs, 3 music videos and a short movie.
The name Etmaal or 24 hours/ 1 day was developed by the creation of the songs. The reason for this is that each song was made in 1 Etmaal. That means composing the beat, writing and recording the lyrics.
'Dualiteit' - EP
After the release of ‘Etmaal’ there was an increasing demand for more Dutch songs. In 2024 a new EP was released called ‘Duality’ with 2 accompanying music videos and Ft. of Patrick Bakker, Borgoebeats and Jerretje.
'Selling Beats'
After years of studing producing, making beats and working with artists he will bring his beats closer to the market.
From January 2025 he started selling beats under the name ‘Analyst Beats’, these beats will represent different styles of beats in Hip-Hop. Such as: Rap, RnB, Boombap, Cloud Hip-Hop, Afro Hip-Hop, etc.
'The Concrete Tape' - Album
It was time, time for the debut album as an MC.
The Concrete Tape is more than a title – it’s a testament to resilience.
Like concrete, my story is solid, shaped by time and pressure, yet unbreakable. The tape calls back to the raw heart of ’90s hip hop, when every scratch and tag told a story on the city’s walls, graffiti colored the streets.
This album captures that spirit – a fusion of hard truth and art, a legacy deeply stamped in the streets that made me. Between the lines, the voices of legendary masters can be heard, artists I listened to as a child, shaping my story alongside mine, a dialogue between then and now, united by love for the culture. Every beat, every mix, and every mastered layer was carefully crafted by me, making this work not just my voice, but my signature – an authentic reflection of my vision and passion, from start to finish.
